When the Limpsfield Riding Club was formed in the 1970s, it set its objectives to
encourage riding as a sport and recreation
promote good fellowship amongst riders, and
improve and maintain the standard of riding and horsemanship
Over thirty years’ later, these are still our objectives which we meet today with a wealth of instructional clinics, masterclasses and competitive events for a membership which heralds from Surrey, Kent and East & West Sussex.
We are fortunate in that the facilities available to us allow us to offer an all-year-round schedule of events, many of which take place at Hilders where there are two full-size all-weather surface arenas (one outdoor, one indoor).
All disciplines are catered for according to our members’ wishes and this year our training programme will include clinics with Robert Pickles, Leanne Wall and Alex Wyatt, as well as regular sessions on a horse simulator with Michelle Cogger.
Dressage plays an important part in Limpsfield Riding Club activities and our Unaffiliated Dressage Series provides the opportunity to compete each month from levels Walk and Trot through to Elementary.
Following the success of our first Autumn Camp in 2011, we shall again host this two-days’ event in September 2012.
As the Limpsfield Riding Club affiliated to British Riding Clubs we regularly send Teams to various BRC events - dressage, showjumping, horse trials, eventing, etc. and actively encourage members who would like to compete for the Club.
That’s who we are and some of what we are doing. Please take a look at the rest of our website for further information.
